Pura Goa lawah " Bat Cave Temple"


Pura Goa Lawah Represents One primary-temple "Kayangan Jagat"  and became one of the tourist object in Bali, a place that is believed by Hindus as a combination of sea and mountains, contains the essence of gratitude to Almighty God in manifestation Girinatha as protector of the mountain, and Hyang Baruna as the ruler of the sea. Pura Goa Lawah located about 49km from Denpasar precisely in Dawan sub district, Klungkung or approximately 10km east Semarapura City. Pura Goa Lawah existence is stated in some papyrus , like Papyrus Usana Bali and also Papyrus Babad Pasek. In the Papyrus declared Pura Goa Lawah was built at the initiative of Mpu Kuturan the XI century AD and returned for extended restored XV century AD. In Papyrus Usana Bali stated that Mpu Kuturan has a work called 'Dharma Babading Wawu Anyeneng' to the effect on the establishment of several temples in Bali including Pura Goa Lawah. The existence of a unique look and interesting temple inhabited by thousands of bats, including as one of the primary temple (Kayangan Jagat).

In this Goalawah temple area available parking area is very wide in some places, such as across the street is located off the coast, even a new parking area eastward temple is also provided, to accommodate people who do praying, such when Nyegara Gunung ceremony, Having 'Tirta' holywater and Melasti in a series of religious ceremonies in the Hindu religion.

Food and drink stalls available many here, even who want to enjoy culinary treats here, there are stalls Lesehan, providing typical dishes of tuna fish, derived from the catches of fishermen on the Kusamba beach. Kusamba beach itself is located adjacent to Goa Lawah, Kusamba Beach is also known as a producer of high-quality traditional salt.
