Bali Botanical Gardens is a unique place on the island of Bali which combines the study of botany, plant conservation, education and recreation. Here you can relax while enjoying the beauty and peacefulness while studying the benefits of plants to people's lives. In any botanical garden you can see the tropical rain forest plants and bird life.

Location

Botanical Garden is located at an altitude of 1250-1450 above sea level, with an area of 157.5 hectares. Daytime temperatures between 17-25 C and night 10-15 C, with humidity of 70-90%. Because the weather is hard to predict, prepare always sweater, umbrella or raincoat.

History

Starting from the idea of Prof. Ir. Kusnoto Setyodiwiryo, Director of the Institute for Nature Research Center that serves as the Head of the Botanical Gardens Indonesia, and I Made Taman, Head of Institute for Nature Conservation and Preservation at the time who wish to establish a branch of the Botanical Gardens outside Java, in this case Bali. Approach to the Government of Bali began in 1955, until finally in 1958 the competent authorities in Bali officially offered to the Institute of Nature Research Center to establish the Botanical Gardens in Bali.

Hours and Fees

Bali Botanical Gardens is open daily from 08:00 to 18:00 pm, except on holidays Nyepi Botanical closed. Some areas such as orchids, cacti and begonias will close early due to safety reasons.

The entry fee is as follows:

  • Foreign visitors ticket Rp. 18,000
  • 2 wheels parking ticket Rp.3,000
  • 4 wheel parking ticket Rp.6,000
  • Parking ticket truck Rp. 12,000
  • Car ticket entrance Rp. 12,000
