Kintamani, Bali

Kintamani is a district in Bangli, Bali Province, Indonesia. Kintamani is also the natural scenery tourist area in Bali, Indonesia.

Tourism potential of this region is a scenic mountainous region that is unique and wonderful. After approximately 2 hours drive from Denpasar, we will arrive in the region, precisely at a place called Penelokan, in accordance with its name in Balinese language means a place to look, this place is the most strategic location to enjoy the natural scenery. Penelokan located in Kedisan vilage, one of the villages in Kintamani.


From Penelokan we can see the amazing view. combination of Mount Batur and its expanse of black rock with Lake Batur, Blue crescent shaped in a caldera that by tourists said, to be the most beautiful caldera in the world. Penelokan already have adequate infrastructure as tourist attractions, including lodging and restaurants.

From Penelokan we have two alternatives to continue the journey in Kintamani. The first we can continue north toward the village of Batur. In this village we can visit one of the temples in Bali named Pura Batur. This temple was originally located in the southwest of Mount Batur which is then transferred along with the migration of villagers to the top.

The second alternative we could go down to the center of Kedisan vilage to wade across a lake next to an old village named Terunyan. In Terunyan village we can see Terunyan ancient civilization called the Bali Aga. in this village the people who had died were not buried but simply placed under a tree. The bodies have no odor at all.


This Tourism Object area is located in the village of Batur, Kintamani The District of Bangli Regency, with cool air temperatures during the day and cold at night. This tourism object accessible by motor vehicle, because it connects the town of Bangli location and Singaraja. While route objects, connecting Tourism Object Batur area with Tourism Object Sukawati and Besakih.


This place is visited by foreign tourists and local. The most prominent visits around the month of August, December, while welcoming the New Year and New Year atmosphere. Similarly, in the days of Galungan, Eid and Christmas Day, even visited by local tourist. (wikipedia)
