Bali Safari and Marine Park

The enchanting island of Bali is a land of countless marvels. Beyond its legendary waves, stunning beaches and mesmerizing culture, the island still has a lot more to offer. One in particular, is the exceptional sensation of getting up-close and personal with some of the most fascinating creatures of the wild on a thrilling safari. This is the adventure that awaits at the Bali Safari and Marine Park in the Gianyar Regency, Bali.

Having opened its gate for the first time in 2007, Bali Safari and Marine Park is regarded as the leading family attraction and adventure in Bali. The Park sits on a 40 hectares green tropical forest and is home to hundreds of amazing animals representing over 60 species, including some rare and endangered species such as the Komodo, Orang Utan, and the Bali Mynah.

Bali Safari and Marine Park has a vast collection of animals from Indonesia, India and Africa living in large beautifully landscaped habitats. This allows park guests to observe the animal’s natural habits in wide open spaces that have been created for them, such as grazing grass or cooling off in large ponds. Other animals that have also found their home here include: the spotted deer, Himalayan bears, black bucks, African hippos, zebras, camels, ostriches, baboons, blue wildebeests, lions, and Indian white tigers.

The Park’s signature Safari Journey takes visitors through the manmade habitats of Indonesia, India and Africa on modified safari trams, providing the opportunity to see the wildlife collection living naturally all together in the open range regions. Visitors are welcome to take as many photos as they like and are companied by their very own personal guide.

Among some of the main features of Bali Safari and Marine Park is the Ranthambore, a replica of an ancient Indian fort in the city of Rajasthan where majestic Indian white tigers roam; Kampung Gajah (Elephant Village), a sanctuary for retired working Sumatran elephants; and the quarter of the komodo dragons.

Visitors can also enjoy their safari on an elephant with the Elephant Back Safari, interact with favorite animal up close at the Animal Encounter space, experience the wildest fine dining moment surrounded by lions, meerkats, and porcupines at the Tsavo Lion restaurant, and unwind with the spectacular show of Bali Agung at the state of art theater in the park, Bali Theater. In addition there is also a Water Park and Fun Zone.

Bali Safari and Marine Park is a part of Taman Safari Indonesia which is an addition to the Taman Safari or Safari Park in Bogor, West Java and in Pasuruan, East Java , and a member of WAZA (The World Associations of Zoo and Aquariums), SEAZA (The South East Asians Zoo Associations), CBSG (Conservations Breeding Specialist Group) as well as PKBSI (Indonesia Zoological Parks Associations). Dedicated more than just for recreation, the park is at the frontline of wildlife conservation in Indonesia and is actively involved in ensuring the future survival and wellbeing of many Indonesian animal species through engaging education and conservation programs such as the conservation and release of the Bali Mynah, Sumatran Elephant, and Sumatran Tiger.
