Gedong Kertya and Buleleng Museum

Location

Gedong Kertya and Buleleng Museum is located in Pura Seni Sasana Budaya Singaraja, on Jalan Veteran no. 23 Singaraja. Gedong Kertya is ejection existing library only one in Indonesia and even in the world. 

There is a collection of handwritten text and copy related to Bali literature, myth, medicine, mantras, religious literature and others. There are also palm-shaped image contains comic called "Prasi". There are about 4000 ejection stored in this library are stored in a wooden box.

Gedong Kirtya Library is a library that was established in 1928 by the Dutch in Singaraja, Bali, which then serves as the capital of the small Sunda. The building name in Sanskrit means try. The house is located in the Cultural Center of the complex, which is the old royal palace of Buleleng.

In the library there is a collection of palm leaf manuscripts, inscriptions, manuscripts paper in Balinese language and Roman letters including documents from the colonial period (1901-1953).

A few meters east gedong Kertya, there Buleleng Museum was established on 30 March 2002, in which the stored collections include Archaeological Heritage objects such as sarcophagi, statues, and other weapons. Art objects such as paintings, fabrics, Craft Gold and silver and other objects related to the life of the people of North Bali such as agricultural tools and fishing tools.
